2016 was the year my Bookstagram really took off. I may not have thousands of followers or gained hundreds of likes per photo, but this year I loved interacting with people in the comments as I challenged myself creatively and pushed myself to use props in unexpected ways. I'm not surprised that the photos I posted this year that gained the most likes were my Harry Potter photos! Everyone loves a good Potter shot, and this was the year of Harry Potter revivals. Keeping true to my username, I used cups of coffee most frequently as props as well. Overall I couldn't be more proud of what I've achieved this year and I owe it all to each and every person who hit 'like' and left a comment. Thank you everyone, I hope 2017 is just as creative ✨☕️📚

✨ what is everyone reading to wrap up the year? I had the absolute sweetest secret santas this year, they spoiled me with Fantastic Beasts goodies 😻 I can't thank them enough, they know me too well. Plus I got Newt's wand when I went to a special preview screening of the movie! After I finish the screenplay I think I'll pick up Stephanie Garber's CARAVAL. 🎠

🌲 it's finally Christmas break!!! Which means I finally have a chance to sit down and READ! No school stress, no homework, no papers or projects, just three blissful weeks of relaxing back home. 🎄 to get into the Christmas spirit, I'm reading Jay Asher's WHAT LIGHT. It's supposed to be much more uplifting than his famous 13 Reasons Why, so I'm excited to dig into this one! ✨QOTD: how are you celebrating the holidays?

✨ Hello everyone! Apologies for my long absence, but now that the semester is winding down I can FINALLY catch up on reading and blogging! ⚔️ I was having a pretty cruddy day yesterday so I began to reread my all-time favorite book, NEVERNIGHT by Jay Kristoff. For whatever reason, the woes of murder and trickery always put me back in a good mood 😂❣️ 💀QOTD: what book never fails to bring you out of a bad mood? #stabstabstab
