Thoughts

The mass shooting that happened early Sunday morning in Orlando has made me afraid since I recently came out as pansexual. The thought that one person can take so many innocent lives in such a cruel and heartless way is absolutely terrifying to me. I'm really trying not to let my fear keep me from living my life in the same way as I was before I came out. I won't allow anyone to make me feel shame because I love differently than they do.
Whether you're out or not, I want each of you to know that you matter. Each of us has a purpose in life and it's imperative that we don't let people like the murderer in Orlando take that away from us. The best way we can honor the victims is to stand proud and not let hate win over love. Only love can defeat hate.
